System Overview

The Microweigh Dispensary System was first developed for use in the pharmaceutical industry to meet the stringent requirements of that market. Since then it has been further developed and used in a wide variety of industrial process areas.

 

Microweigh has been designed for use as a single hand weighing station or for integration into multi-station dis-pensary systems providing control and information management for complex processes. The system is designed to control processes requiring batches of ingredients or additives to be weighed accurately by hand. Microweigh provides the level of security and traceability required to enable multiple operators to work flexibly within a complex dispensary environment.

 

Customised Microweigh System

Customised multioperator systems consist of independently operating networked weigh stations and a supervisory computer system hosting a SQL Server database. The system is production schedule driven and multiple stations may independently weigh different ingredients for a single batch or weigh ingredients for multiple batches.

 

The system software can be integrated with customer MES or ERP systems such as J.D. Edwards, Microsoft AX or SAP to, typically, receive production schedules or works orders and to upload information on completed schedules.

 

Microweigh provides full traceability of raw materials in completed batches back to individual supplier lot numbers together with a process audit trail for each batch produced. Software controls the Q.A. validation and use of the raw materials with expiry alarm and material batch rotation.

 

Operator workstations can be supplied to satisfy the requirements of most environmental specifications. Equipment can be supplied in stainless steel and designed to avoid dust traps and enabling sanitization to appropriate standards.

 

Intrinsically safe equipment can also be supplied to open rate in ATEX environments. Operator terminals can be floor or wall mounted or supplied as mobile units for flexible working with wireless communications to 802.11g
